The Promoter Organism of Exports and Investments of El Salvador, in cooperation with the International Commerce Center (ITC), will conduct the regional Central American project “Vinculando empresas de mujeres centroamericanas con el Mercado de artesanías y decoración de interiores”, financed by the European Union (EU), in the frame of the project “Integración Económica Regional Centroamericana” (INTEC) executed by the International Commerce Center (ITC).

The proposed objectives, by both institutions for the development of the program, are: strengthening the Central American companies in the commerce of goods and services, bettering the export performance of the sale of handicrafts, the attention of the market, and the interior designs, by means of electronic commerce.

The ITC project consists of three stages of training and accompaniment, two of them carried out by PROESA and one by the National Commission of the Micro and Small Enterprise (CONAMYPE). The stages to be developed are:

1. Business management for the export, in charge of PROESA.

2. Design and development of products, in charge of CONAMYPE.

3. Electronic commerce, in charge of PROESA.

The validity of the project will be from March 2019 to June 2020. Since the past 31st of January until the next 15th of February the process of online registration for the businesswomen interested in being part of the project will be authorized.  From the onwards, the evaluation of the requests will be initiated, between PROESA and CONAMYPE, to subsequently communicate the selection of the 35 benefited entrepreneurs, between the 4th and the 8th of the next March.

This information was shared to interested companies during a meeting with representatives of the sector, realized last week.
