The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA) participated in the Walt Disney Company´s launch accreditation in the Laboratorios Suizos´ products. This means that Laboratorios Suizos, the Salvadoran company, will be able to use the image of Walt Disney characters in its products. “On behalf of President Nayib Bukele, we congratulate Laboratorios Suizos, and we are very proud because they become the only laboratory in Central America accreditated by Walt Disney to use the image if its renowned characters,” said the president of PROESA, Salvador Gómez Góchez. “PROESA will be supporting the adaptation of products in the different markets, as well, in the strategic identification of potential distributors,” added the head of PROESA. This process included a complete audit of the procedures, installations and suppliers, based on US regulations (FDA). The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA) partook last week in the inauguration of the Garten Zonte Hotel, located at kilometer 53, Playa El Zonte, department of La Libertad.   This project of the Tourism sector of El Salvador, oriented to the Destination Wedding segment, has been executed by investors of U.S. origin.   The concept of the Garten Zonte Hotel is to share the beauty, culture and virtuousness of El Salvador with tourists. Yesterday, the president of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA), Salvador Gómez Góchez, was present at the inauguration of the Surf City Tournament, ALAS Latin Pro 2019. This is an international event that takes place in La Bocana, El Tunco beach, from November 13 to 16 of this year.   The activity is carried out thanks to the joint organization of the Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador (MITUR in Spanish), the Asociación Latinoamericana de Surfistas Profesionales (known in Spanish as ALAS) and the Instituto Nacional de los Deportes de El Salvador (INDES in Spanish). This week, the team from the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA) participated in the delivery of the third and final phase of the Bósforo project, which will generate 100 MW of photovoltaic solar energy. The initiative was promoted and developed by the electricity distributor, AES El Salvador, in conjunction with the Corporación Multi Inversiones (CMI in Spanish).   Bósforo is one of the most important projects that have recently been introduced in the country under a new energy approach of renewable sources.   It has 10 plants of 10 MW each, for a total of 100 megawatts (MW) of energy, which constituted an investment of US$160 million.   Enrique Crespo, CEO of CMI Capital, stated that "through 10 generation plants distributed throughout the country, Bósforo will place power generation and distribution points closer to consumers, thus supporting the stability and reliability of the national electricity system, confirming CMI's long-term commitment to the development of El Salvador.”   The project had already two completed phases, the first consists of three plants located in La Union, Pasaquina and El Carmen. From 20 to 25 October 2019, the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI by its initials in Dutch) is organizing an European market orientation mission for companies who produce and export fresh fruit and vegetables and participate in the "Connecting Central America" initiative.   The Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA) participates as an implementing member of the project.   This initiative, financed by the European Union (EU) and the Netherlands, seeks to reinforce the competitiveness of Central American small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and promote their exports to the European market, taking advantage of the Association Agreement between Central America and the EU, to contribute to the sustainable economic development of the Central American region. “Organization of fairs and assembly of stands” is the name of the training that was conferred this week, by the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA), under the “Strengthening my company” qualification organized by the Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE in Spanish).   The objective of the tuition was to provide tools to micro entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs about partaking in local fairs and the proper way to set up a stand for these events. The president of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA), Salvador Gómez Góchez, contributed in the French Investment and Trade Forum in Central America, organized by the French Embassy.   During the activity, he presented the different business opportunities that El Salvador holds to French investors and visitors of the rest of the world. This morning, the president of the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of El Salvador (known in Spanish as PROESA), Salvador Gómez Góchez, visited the facilities of a company that belongs to the Agroindustry sector, Comercializadora 503.   The meeting aimed to know firsthand the needs of the firm and its plans to continue expanding both nationally and internationally. S.A de C.V.
