Telus International gave a donation of medicines and recreational games for children, patients of the oncology unit, at the Hospital Nacional de niños, Benjamin Bloom.

The donation is valued at $ 10,000 and will go to around 300 children with cancer. The donation was managed by the Presidential Commissioner for Strategic Projects, Luis Rodríguez.

“A month and a half ago I contacted the Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir to find out about specific needs and with which we could support them, especially now that the associations are losing sources of help, collaborations and services due to the pandemic emergency. That is why I made a commitment to serve as support for the government to manage aid to these sectors, ”said Rodríguez.

Déborah Rosales, director of Human Resources at Telus International, indicated that contributions of more than $ 53 thousand have also been made to support families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and tropical storms Amanda and Cristóbal.

“We are pleased to know that we are contributing to the strengthening of cancer treatments that children receive daily. On this occasion we also work on the mental health of patients, and as a part of their medicine, we now provide playful games for their healthy recreation, "she explained.
